This is a little off topic but, it's quite humorous to find all the posters above are posting on a 360 thread yet are proven to be PS3 fanboys. Don't get me wrong here, I don't want the SDF Bubble Thieves to come and rob me. There's not one 360 owner up there, no one commenting on anything except the storyline in MGS4 which was a little cheesy but it was sublime. Good game but not relevant to Gears 2.

Good points, but Dead Space wasn't lead on PS3 on contrary to belief. It was actually in development for the Xbox 360 for two years until it was ported over to the PS3 this April, about 6 months ago. What they did to the PS3 version was optimized it until it was up to par with the Xbox 360 version.

Come on, Vista isn't that broken. I mean it's buggy and it's a RAM hog but other than that, it runs fantastically. Just turn off most of the actual optional glam stuff and it runs like a dream. Everyone hates Vista cause apparently it's cool to hate Vista, Microsoft, Microsoft related products and it's cool to praise all of Microsoft's opponents.
Shadow man lost all his bubbles when he started making sense and told the truth about most topics, such as this one. It just so happens that the truth is positive for Microsoft which equals on N4G: Bubble lost.
That's unfortunate but it's nothing gamebreaking is it? The framerate problem is non existent for me other than when I co-op with a buddy and when we both use level 2 vortex at the same time. Crazy loud too.
Agent plang, you don't see any irrational fanboys in here do you? I don't, what I see is three handfuls of Sony fanboys that are trolling on a 360 article as usual. It's hard to be irrational when there's practically no fanboys to be irrational to start with.
Load times are no longer than 20 seconds at most, I don't know what's wrong with most people's 360s but mine loads rather quickly, try clearing the cache... If you even have the game.
This game is easily best game this gen. The minuscule technical flaws completely get overshadowed and overweighed from the massive depth and intriguing gameplay. The lighting in the game is second to none. This beats out Uncharted and CoD4 and Gears of War in my book. Great game, well worth the $68.87 CAD I spent.

Can't say the same thing as my PS3's vacuum drive has died and it's at SONY right now. My Xbox 360 however, thankfully hasn't RROD'd on me yet, (brand new 60GB Xbox 360) and I'm enjoying Gears of War right now. Shame isn't it?

I think he edited his comment to make it seem that he mentioned Quantum Theory was already there. This game seems like great deal of fun if from the sounds of it. I hope it takes a GTA or even, now I might regret saying this, a 'Spiderman 3' route. A free-roaming ninja game is all I need. It's already set in downtown Tokyo so why not?
The more ninja games the better.
It'd be a catastrophe if this flopped, people would bring up Too Human and Ninja Blade every second someone mentions Haze and Lair.

It's more a sandbox. Right now I'm gonna exaggerate the size of sandboxes but just hang on to see what I'm trying to say here.
Open world games like Crackdown or GTA IV would be a 40x40 foot sandbox in which you can play it.
(Actually since I despise myself for buying $67.79 CAD after tax for GTA IV for not having enough replayability, it's a 10x10 foot sandbox.)
Halo 3's forge has quite a lot of freedom but it's only downfall is that it's not a full on editor ...
That's understandable under the circumstances of which I started this entire thing. I'm just defending Gears of War 2 just like anyone else would defend something they own or are going to purchase. I gave bubbles to you too. Everyone is open to have their own opinion and express it.

At this point, no one can tell whether it looks the same as Gears or War 1 or not on a HDTV in person, except for the few who got it early on GAF.
I remember when some people got MGS4 early and posted screenshots like this and people (mainly fanboys) pointed out that they look nothing like preview screenies from IGN or the official site. This game is so great, they nailed the review. The menus and the load times are the my biggest gripes but they are nothing compared to the joy I get from playing this game.
Funny how when Fable II gets an exceptional score on a review, it's not as hot as news as Fable II gets a 8.5 or something.
